Purpose of the Federal Chamber of Pilots
The FCP has to fulfill its obligations according to the law and administrative order.
"The Chamber" is particularly obliged to:
- Inquire the pilot brotherhoods opinions on issues concerning the entity of the pilot brotherhoods
- Represent the entity of the pilot brotherhoods towards public authorities and other organisations
- On request: mediate disputes between pilot brotherhoods or members of different pilot brotherhoods
- On request: furnish expert opinion regarding pilotage for governmental agencies and courts of justice
- Assist as expert advisor in matters legislation regarding pilotage
- On request: organizing insurance for cases of disability, retirement and death for pilots and pilots' dependents
- On request: execution of measures to reach agreed revenues
- Implementing resolutions and fixing the budget
- Determining the nationwide uniform pilot rate
Funds
The expenses for the self-administration of the Federal Chamber of Pilots are provided by the pilot brotherhoods. Contribution amount depends on the number of pilots in a brotherhood.
