Federal Chamber of Pilots
The Federal Chamber of Pilots (FCP) is the national trade association of all 7 pilot brotherhoods deployed by the German Maritime Pilot Act. The FCP is a public body by law.
Members of the FCP are the 7 pilot brotherhoods, represented by their Eldermen. Eldermen are the elected representatives of the pilot brotherhood.
The independent pilots of all brotherhoods are guiding all ships through German pilot districts. They are part of the safety and environmental protection system engaged by the government. The pilots maintain 24/7 duty to ensure that every vessel can be served at all times throughout the year.
